Privacy Policy
GPAce (“we,” “us”) is a mobile app that helps you track college GPA and optionally sync grades from your school’s Canvas LMS. This policy explains what information is involved and how it is handled.
Information on your device
Course names, grades, credits, Canvas course data you sync, and related settings are stored locally on your device. We do not require you to create a GPAce account.
Canvas access
If you use Canvas sync, you provide a Canvas access token and your school’s Canvas URL. That token is stored on your device and used to request your courses and grades from Canvas. We do not ask for your Canvas password.
To complete some Canvas login or API flows, the app may use our backend proxy. Requests may include the information needed to talk to Canvas (for example, your school URL and token or OAuth-related parameters). We use this to make the connection work — not to build student profiles for advertising.
Purchases
In-app purchases (including GPAce Pro) are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to verify entitlements. Apple and RevenueCat process purchase-related identifiers according to their own privacy policies. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Notifications
If you enable grade notifications, the app uses Apple’s notification system on your device to alert you about newly detected grade changes after a sync. You can disable notifications in iOS Settings or in the app.
Analytics and crash data
We may receive limited technical information needed to operate and improve the app (for example, crash reports or basic usage metrics if enabled through Apple or our tooling). We do not sell your personal information.
Children
GPAce is intended for college students and general audiences. It is not directed at children under 13. Do not use the app if you are under 13.
Your choices
- Delete courses or disconnect Canvas in the app to remove local academic data.
- Revoke your Canvas access token in Canvas Account → Settings anytime.
- Uninstall the app to remove local GPAce data from that device.
