Terms of Use
By downloading or using GPAce (the “App”) or this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App or site.
The service
GPAce helps you track GPA and optionally sync course data from Canvas LMS. Features may change over time. We may update or discontinue parts of the service with reasonable notice when practical.
Eligibility
You must be able to enter a binding agreement in your jurisdiction. The App is not intended for children under 13.
Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate information you enter into the App.
- Keep your Canvas access token secure and revoke it if it may be compromised.
- Use the App only in compliance with your school’s policies and applicable law.
- Do not misuse our backend, attempt unauthorized access, or disrupt the service.
Academic information
GPA calculations and synced grades are tools to help you understand your progress. They are not official transcripts. Always rely on your school’s official records for academic decisions.
Purchases
Optional paid features (including GPAce Pro) are sold through the Apple App Store. Pricing, billing, refunds, and restore rules are governed by Apple’s terms. Pro unlocks Canvas sync as a one-time purchase unless Apple’s product configuration changes.
Third-party services
Canvas, Apple, and other third parties have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services, including school Canvas configurations that block API access.
Intellectual property
The App, website, branding, and content are owned by GPAce or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer (except where allowed by law), or redistribute them without permission.
Disclaimer
THE APP AND SITE ARE PROVIDED “AS IS” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation or perfect grade accuracy.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, GPACE AND ITS OPERATORS ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, GRADES, OR ACADEMIC OPPORTUNITY ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP OR SITE.
Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this page. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
